The new DEORE XT SL-M8200 mechanical shifter prioritizes precision and quickness, with a lever redesign that results in natural-feeling ergonomics, a more refined release and lightning-fast shifts. The M8200 pairs DEORE XT's proven reliability with a new design to create a more refined mechanical shifter that's also compatible with previous-generation 12-speed drivetrains. 

  • New Ergonomic Lever Design: Shorter stroke, crisper feel and an optimized paddle angle make the M8200 lever a natural fit from the first shift.
  • Firmer Second Click: Allows riders to easily execute a double shift only when they choose.
  • Sure Shifts: Prevent slippage and extend the shifter's life with an easy-to-replace rubber traction pad.
  • Max Multiple Shifts: Allows riders to downshift three gears in an instant.
  • Versatile Shifting: Release shifts just as quickly as you make them with a single push or pull thanks to 2-WAY RELEASE, while MULTI-RELEASE lets you release two gears in one stroke. No wasted time here.
