Designed for tough conditions – the new DEORE XT M8200 drivetrain features a completely redesigned rear derailleur with Shimano Shadow ES technology. It has been specifically designed for high durability and impact protection. The lightweight and compact design offers additional ground clearance whilst enabling a wide gear range with rear derailleur options in medium and long cage versions.

• Precise, cable-actuated shifting with shorter lever travel and improved ergonomics for maximum control
• SHIMANO SHADOW ES technology utilises a wedge-shaped construction that reduces the front surface area of the rear derailleur and minimises potential contact points with stones and roots
• A wide, sturdily supported pivot and solid derailleur pulleys reduce the ingress of dirt and increase durability
• The redesigned double-spring system generates higher chain tension, thereby improving chain guidance and chain retention
