The Ranger is a workhorse of a frame bag. Designed to make use of the full triangle, the Ranger fits a huge range of standard mountain and fatbike geometries. Rangers are richly featured bags that offer cost and time savings over custom-made bags.

Ranger vs. Rifter - The Ranger frame bag was the predecessor to the Rifter. Revelate’s original frame bag was first designed about 10 years ago around popular hardtails like those from Surly and Salsa. The Ranger is a great bag for many bikes with more classic geometry. However bikes with modern geometry require a different bag shape. Many bikes do not have front derailleurs, this allows for a deeper bag design. The Rifter is slightly shorter though, because narrow front triangles at the headtube restrict usable space.
