The perfect time to celebrate the life of Peter Burke - the man, the myth, the legend! Pete was well-known for his tireless enthusiasm and support of all things cycling and his commitment to building the best independent cycle shop in New Zealand.

So why then, a BMX tribute t-shirt?

Pete was a true pioneer of BMX - from racing (a former New Zealand #1 in his prime), to importing 'bling' gear unavailable on this side of the globe, to selling BMX wares from a tent at race meets - he did it all. The ability to see trends in cycling before they became the norm, from fledgling BMX to the rise of MTB, through to the explosion of eBikes we now see - Pete was there, every step of the way, just a little bit ahead of everyone else.

This special, one-off, limited-numbers, freight-free, tribute t-shirt celebrates Pete's unrivalled history as an icon of BMX riding in Aotearoa. Once sold out these t-shirts will not be available again (orders are able to be placed up to midnight 14th July and will be dispatched in the last week of July).

All proceeds from the sale of these t-shirts will be donated to the Cancer Society of New Zealand in Pete's name - “Kua hinga he totara i te wao nui a Tane” - “A totara has fallen in the forest of Tane”.
