Drop into technical terrain with confidence knowing you're wearing a Virginia Tech 5-star safety-rated lid. The trail-ready Coyote KinetiCore features an integrated visor that can quickly be pushed up or down to keep sun, rain, and low-hanging branches out of your face, while the no-slip grip on the shell secures your goggles in place.

Adjustable TurnSys technology offers vertical adjustability and a tailored fit with the twist of a dial, while the magnetic buckle makes it easy to strap in and out with one hand and gloves on so you never miss a beat. For those rides where you’re squeezing out every last minute of daylight, LED light compatibility via the velcro mount ensures you’re seen.

What is Virginia Tech, and what does its 5-STAR impact protection rating really mean?

Not all helmets are created equal and two helmets that meet the official standard for certification may offer different levels of impact protection. But how would you know these differences? That is where the Virginia Tech Helmet Lab comes into play. They are independent of any funding or influence from manufacturers and therefore provide unbiased ratings on a 5-STAR scale.

Simply stated, the ratings identify which helmets best reduce concussion risk. More stars equate to better protection, with 5 stars representing the best available helmets.

  • Virginia Tech rated Coyote KinetiCore with 5 stars for safety in rotational impact tests.
  • The Lazer Advanced TurnSys system provides a tailored fit that's easy to adjust on the move with a simple turn of the dial.
  • No more fumbling, Lazer's magnetic buckle can be quickly undone with one hand with gloves on.
  • Eyewear friendly, recesses in helmet shape removes the pressure on inside of head caused by the arms of sunglasses.
  • Goggle grip reduces risk of goggle slip and blocking visibility.
  • Visor is easy to move up and down while riding for improved visibility and to make space for your goggles.
  • Increase safety and visibility by attaching the Universal Lazer LED at the rear of the helmet via the Velcro Mount.
