Product Details

The new Shark® EVO raises the bar even higher. A new Shark braking track gives the Shark EVO rotor an even larger contact surface, with the evolved design ensuring more powerful and consistent braking and ensuring compatibility with all types and sizes of brake pads. More fins and thermal dissipation holes deliver superior cooling, increasing stability and reducing fade on the most intense, extended descents.

The CNC machined, aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminium core, mounted to the braking track with 8mm hollow aluminium rivets, gives the rotor unprecedented rigidity and precision.  An optimized semi-rigid joint ensures exceptional force transmission between both components, maximizing performance and ensuring even, symmetrical pad wear.

Galfer Shark rotors are laser-cut from a proprietary mix of virgin, high-carbon 420 stainless steel, double-disc parallel ground to ensure perfect flatness, then heat treated according to each rotor’s specific application. Shark rotors have anti-corrosion treatment, are lighter than comparable discs on the market and do not emit noise or vibration. Every rotor is designed and crafted with precision in Galfer’s factory in Barcelona, Spain.

The added thickness of 2mm rotors delivers better durability and performance under heavy load/high heat applications, making them ideal for ebikes. Please ensure your brake system is compatibile with this size - standard 1.8mm Wave Rotors are the preferred choice for calipers that won't accomodate this thickness.

  • New Shark EVO braking track: larger surface, more friction power, more powerful and consistemt braking
  • Stable and consistent at all times - extremely tolerant of steep gradients, high speeds, high ambient temperature and large mass
  • CNC machined aerospace aluminium core reduces weight and adds incredible stiffness to the system
  • 8mm hollow aluminium rivets and an optimized semi-rigid joint ensures exceptional force transmission between the core and braking track, maximizing performance and comfort.
  • Seamlessly replaces stock brake rotors.
  • Exceptional durability
  • Increased pad life by 25-40% under normal conditions
  • Laser cut and precision ground to exacting standards
  • Anti-corrosion treatment to non-contact surfaces.
  • 2.0mm thick, ideal for high heat/heavy braking applications
  • 6-Bolt universal mounting pattern.
  • Compatible with speed sensor magnets, maintaining full E-bike system functionality.
  • WEIGHTS: 180mm: 165g | 203mm: 195g | 223mm: 229g
